Default Idling good for turbo engine...

Ok, this isnt related to turbo timers and hot turbines.

I was searching through the japanese auctions for parts, when I came across a turbo timer, and "in japanese" it said "idling is good for turboed engines".

Now I understand the the reason behind turbo timers, to cool down a turbo.

BUT, what about cooling the actual engine, which I geuss would also apply to naturally aspirated engines aswell ......

Is it good to rag an N/A and just shut the engine down with no idling....?
