As long as you let it cool down after boost it will be fine!

If youve been driving hard and go straight to park up, use the timer.

If youve been driving hard then do 5 mins off boost before parking up just switch it off.

As for filling up while running...yes you could...but i dont think your supposed to.

Nah, it's illegal/ frowned upon/ dangerous... (delete as applicable)
TBH a turbo timer is only useful if you do alot of highspeed & high-boost runs and stop suddenly for fuel, or to run away from the stolen car.... :-p I have one, but rarely use it.

Thumbs up

I don't really think they can be described as "useless" they do still serve a purpose! Being able to keep the engine running and cool it down after locking it up and walking away without having to sit there for 5 minutes after you've just nailed it down the motorway because your late for a meeting sounds like a bloody good idea to me, i mean even if you did just use it on the odd occasion it'll help prolong the life of the turbo. I had one already fitted in my old Impreza never thought about turning it off, it was always set to 3 minutes, after a run just turn the ignition off, job done. Why wouldn't you have one?! Simple yet effective. Thumbs up from me!!

how many people with turbo timers stop, turn off, get out, lock & walk awsy from the car and leave the car running on the timer?

the majority i think stand beside the car whilst the timer is counting down, why not sit in the car then?

Leaving a vehicle unattended and running is illegal, and due to the design of the impreza engine the turbo still has water running around it after switch off due to the natural convection of water - again - useless.
