Unhappy anybody else experienced this

fitted front strutbrace to my car,had a little blast up motorway, around 80 to 90mph i have a very bad vibration which is felt through the car + terrible wobble on the steering wheel

does the car have to be setup in some way after fitting one of these?

all info appreciated

SOunds very bad. NO setup is ever needed for a strutbrace as long as it actually fits to the top mount bolt holes for the struts. Did you do the struts back up tight again?

holes lined up perfectly, tightened all up nice and tight, where the ends join the main strut bar there is a long bolt which i also fully tightened not sure if i should have tightened that?

going to take off today, then give it another blast up motorway to see if it goes, just in case it's another problem which i don't think it is as it was all fine until i fitted strutbrace.

thanks for all info

An explanation may be you have a wheel wobble through uneven brake disc wear that was absorbed by the body, now you have stiffened the body you can feel it....not sure of the validity of that, but if the hypothesis is correct, it would make sense!

Default strut brace

sounds obvious but make sure the intercooler is not touching the brace.

have you a pic of the 'long bolt you tightened
...was that not some kind of length adjuster for the bar - if you tightened that you may have adjusted your whole geometry

any pics?

First things first, get you're front wheels balanced. You may have had a weight come off.
