momentary loss of power?
Hi all
Driving down the motorway tonight. steady 3000 rpm in 5th.
Heard a slight pop out of exhaust and the car felt like i had caught the brake pedal. sort of push me forward for a second.
Then i had no throttle response at all, blipped the throttle twice nothing happend.
Engine still running and the car didnt slow down.
coasted over the slow lane and within 5 seconds allwas back to normal.
Car feels and sounds fine.
Any ideas????
Thanks

Might be you ht leads. Had a similar problem with my car before not impreza. Start the engine now in the dark and look for any sparks. Alot easier to see in the dark. Mine was a slight crack in one of the ht leads shorting onto the head. Might not be this but worth a look. If you went to 3 cylinders you would certainly loss power and jerk forward.

BIG THANKS TO THE SCOOBY CLINIC
Just wanted to say
BIG THANKS TO THE SCOOBY CLINIC.
Who have fixed my problem even though they had never had anything like this in b4.
Turned out to be a a dodgy fuel pump blowing the imobiliser cutting the car out.
He also found two wires that had been tapped into the ecu that someone had just chopped off.
Cheers
Dave
