which induction kit for how much ??????
Hey all, i am quite new to this place and its my first post, I am going to get an induction kit for my scoob but i dont know what to get, I have heard that some are better for turbo engines than others. Also which would give a nicer sucking noise lol. Any help would be appreciated. The car in question is a imported WRX and its a p plate making it a 1996 model if that makes any differance lol.

Hi m moir, you may not like the answer to this but you may well be better off just getting an after market filter i.e. KN, Green or an Sti filter. Induction kits are not really necessary until your reaching big figures, 350+. This is my opinion, there are others who will disagree.

Yes as skooby 53 says, a good panel filter would be a better idea.Theres loads of threads about this. If your fitting a FMIC mind, you'll have to fit an induction kit.
Also, induction kits have been known to damage maf's, which are delicate.
If your going to get one, it's best not to buy one that needs oiling,as this also contaminates the maf.

Sorry, the maf or mass air flow sensor, i've known it as air flow meter on other cars, is the box with the connector on it your air box bolts to. It tells the ecu how much air your pulling.Very important bit of kit this, as it helps control the air/fuel mixture.A faulty one can damage your engine.
FMIC, or front mount intercooler is fitted in front of your radiator, and helps keep intake temps down, and can cope with higher boost/power. When fitting, the pipework goes where your current air box is,needing the fitment of an induction kit. Not that you'll need this for a while!
