Im thinking the same thing,to try and quieten it down a little,be a bit of a task i'd imagine.I was thinking of starting at the turbo and work down, using locking wire or metal ties at seveal points to stop it going loose on the way.

me too mate, since fitting it ive acquired a tinny sort of sound due to it being just a through pipe now,so i thought by wrapping it i may deaden the tinny sound abit. if that makes sense

I spose the only tricky point would be round the centre mount, as mine has no sensor in the downpipe to worry about. Mine makes a more of deeper drone than tinny noise, and being an RA it's usually reving higher.A bit painfull on the motorway

The other noise,is it like a high pitch whine? That'd be the missis moaning about the noise!
Seriously,is it like a high pitch tapping noise, that increases with reves, but most notable when letting off? Mine does this to,i thought it was my boost sol going mad,and was going to fit a dawes device to try and calm it down. Also thought about wastegate chatter, again a dawes should cure this.

I think it must be faster to take the downpipe off, surely? If you've got it off, it's so much easier (I wrapped a part of mine whilst it was on the car and it was a pain in the ****).

The part I wrapped with the downpipe off the car looks mint, the other part looks shoddy at best
