JUST HAD WATER SENSOR REPLACED ON MY 95 GT LEGACY AUTOMATIC NOW GETTING APPROX 200MILES TO A TANK OF SUPERUNLEADED GIVE OR TAKE 20 MILES. QUESTION BEING IT RAN LIKE A SACK OF **** BEFORE SENSOR WAS REPLACED NOW ITS RUNNING FINE, RETURNING LESS MPG. I KNOW IT'S NOT A ECO FRIENDLY CAR, DID'NT BUY IT FUEL EFFICENCY . IS THIS THE GOING RATE?????

Just an idea would it have been in safe mode and running very little boost. Although it would have been over fuelling it probably didn't use anything like it does now on full boost.
I get about 20mpg mixed driving so sounds about right.
Keep off the loud pedal its fun but more expensive.

Ah, another Legacy GT owner!
I have a 2003 legacy GT, (single twinscroll turbo - not twins which I assume the 95 has). Now mine is stock, supposedly 280 bhp, but does 26mpg giving it some, and up to 33mpg obeying her Maj's speed limits. Average I'd say is 28/29mpg.
Mind you I do have a slight misfire, which is sounding a bit more serious a problem than I thought if it's affecting mpg to the extent of 20%.
