I'm currently running my MY02STi on Mobil1 15w50 fully synthetic which, I thought was the correct oil to use.

After doing some research on gear oils I'm not so sure.

I read on most web sites that 5w30 multi grade should be used in the engine. I looked in the hand book and sure enough (why didn't I look there first) it says 5w30 grade.

Anybody using a 5w30 fully sythetic in the newage sti engine's?

we reguarly supply 5w40 (normally 300v) for cars running std'ish or mildly modded...........
would only normally use 15w50 in a heavily modded car of that age

I dont class mine as heavily moddified but I guess its pushing more than expected with what its got so I think i will stick to 15w50.
