Hi what is the standard boost for an early 1994 wrx import? Does anyone have a pic of the pipework that controls the boost because there is a boost controller fitted but want to take it out and see what its like thanks!

 

i think its supposed to be about 12psi, if you take the boost controller out, what do you intend to replace it with?? If you just disconnect the pipes you will kill the turbo in about 5 seconds, it will spin up so fast and hard if your not expecting it will catch you completely unaware, and you will destroy it. If you want to up the boost then use something like the avcr i think it is, or any electronic boost controller, personally i use an MBC, but thats my choice and i can run just under 1 bar on a WRX, 94. I think 1 bar is your boost cut limit.

 

the standard solenoid is still there so ill just try that and see but i dont know which pipes go where?? There is 3 outlets on it anyone goe a pick of it in place please

 

am afraid i dont, i dont use mine, but, one pipe goes to the manifold i think and the other two go to the turbo.
Do you mean its still there and working or have you some other means of regulating the boost?? Am a little tired and easily confused!!

 

240ps WRX = 11.47psi (Aerial on a-Pillar)
260ps WRX = 12.7psi (Aerial on rear wing)
