Default Oil Leak

My '98 STi coupe Typr r seems to be leaking oil at the spark plug nearest the turbo. Any advice? It's not a major leak (yet), as there is nothing on the ground but when I looked under the bonnet, there are wisps of smoke when engine is hot.

You need to remove the Cam cover and reseal the gasket and inner spark plug gasket mate.

Default oil leak

thanks merlin. Is this a big job? I got a 3 month engine & gearbox warranty when i bought it so it should be covered, but I'm just wondering how many days I can expect to be wouthout the car.

Is this a common fault?

I did mine the other week. It’s not that hard just a pain in the *** very tight to get at. 1/2 day max if you dont know what you are doing 2hr max if you do and done them before.
Remove the air box and you can just get in.
I just resealed the original gaskets.
