Aaargh. I thought it was B too, but the seller of these two reconned starters seems to think it is A. Indeed, he said that A is from a version 4, and B a version 5, which is the opposite to what you've just said?!?! . But if A fits your car then how can anyone argue with that!

Can anyone else help?...

Oh hold on, I'm talking rot... MY98 IS version 4, so that actually fits in with what the seller said! However, I still need someone to confirm(!) - once again can anyone else help?...

You sure your Scoob's a MY98? Just checked your 'View My Scooby' and you state it's a 2000 year which is obviously MY00 version 6 (G)?!?!?

...No hold on!... How do you explain this then?! (Luckily I had the window still open and screen-captured its content)...

Did you just change the Year from 2000 to 1998 or summat? If not, then I'm totally weirded out

Question

Ha! Thanks for stopping me from going a little bit mental! (well, more so than my default anyway ;-0)

Yes mate, I'm in utter slob mode today - can't be arsed to go outside . I'm sure just a good look would be enough to identify it - I'll do it when I get to work on Tues.

Is it located towards the rear of the engine (obviously because of the flywheel )... and on the driver's side?

EDIT: Logically, it's looking like starter 'B' was fitted to the 2nd facelift Classics i.e. 1999/2000MY (?)
