Default Front mount intercooler ???

I have fitted my front mount and when put back together the bottom of the cooler sits three inches below the bumper( i intend to fit blob eye front with splitter anyway ) what i want to know is can i cut away the bumper support bar which its attached to so i can move it up another inch or two ??

The lowest point is 5 1/2 inches off the ground

cheers

tony

If thats a hybrid, it's definitely not fitted right mate. I've never seen one fitted that way up before. Suggest you speak to someone like Harvey on here who will tell you for sure.

looks like upside down to me aswell?

it looks like it should fit other way round and higher up behind the top grill, but this would mean getting rid of the bumper bar, would there be any other way of mounting it at the top if the bumper bar was not fitted?

what make fmic is it?

You have the wrong intercooler fella, that is for a classic not a newage car. The newage intercooler generally tend not to be as tall. View thread for correct type for a newage car

Well its on now !!!! Plus being bigger can only be a good thing , will either have to cut out the bumper support more or just have a low car !!!!!

Sell the core and source one that fits better ?
How are you going to make that look tidy ?

Or just chop themiddle section out of the bumper LOL

Gonna be doing a blob eye front end conversion and will have a splitter on it too to make it lower !!!

My last car had a wings west lower splitter on it and that was lowlow !!! So wondering if its worth moving it at all or just leaving it where it is and fitting the bits around it. I would make up a gaurd for it too

You could try and move it up a bit and fit a spoiler...

spend a little more next time for something that actually fits properly:

i have JDM bug eye , u have to remove or modify the bumper beam , Even with Turboxs FMIC still have to remove bumper beam , but it allows u to keep the fogs.

Never bought it got it in exchange for a down pipe, also found out its for a classic so ill be fitting it to my girlfriends classic and buying a new one !!!!!!

Turbo xs seems like a good buy though because you get the bumper bar with it

Even for a classic that fmic is massive.

Mine does fit that way around and on the classic is a better fit than the ones that sit the other way around.
