Question Replacing rear door glass....

The two rear side windows on my RB5 are very badly scored and I've decided to replace these with some mint ones out of a scrap yard along with some new pads which the window slides up and down on. I know this is quite a common problem on these cars due to the frameless doors and the way the window glass is held in place!!

Ive been told by a friend who done this one time that its a nightmare of a job to replace these side windows and wont be easy done....have any of yous replaced any rear door glass and is it as hard as people say??

Also can i buy these pads that the windows slide up and down on from subaru or anywere else as im sure they are full of grit and will score/scrpe my new windows in no time again??

Cheers everyone!!

The pads for the glass are available from Subaru, but are not particularly cheap.

For each rear door you will need the following:

2x 62304FA001 - Stabilizer Inner £18.21 each

2x 61256FE020 Stabilizer Outer £17.17 each

It's not too difficult to change the glass itself, the worst part of the job is getting all the adjustments right so that the glass meets the door seal correctly & the door is not difficult to shut.

Wow a bit dear that ....is the 4 parts u mentioned above all i need for the two rear doors??
That'd be around £80 for the 4 pads, jez thats madness innit??

Any other method or anything else i can use to help avoid scraping, or would the old pads clean up enough to do??

Cheers
