Hi,

i am after a part for the front brakes.
its for a sti 6 type r been told its the same part number for a uk turbo / p1.

I need the part thats in red.
Any help where to get one from would be appreciated.

try a local motor factors they usually sell fitting kits for pads/shoes etc and that spring plate would be part of the clip.
i have seen kits in halfords before not sure if for subaru 4 pots though.
that plate will be the same on any subaru 4 pot calipers like newage wrx's.

failing that subaru dealers will be able to get them.

£16 from dealers for one side plus didnt have them in stock.

i know when i buy front pads... it says on the box... subaru / nissan / gto.

so when i went to the breakers yard... none of the subarus had 4 pots. all had been removed.

i saw a nissan skyline gt. looked closer it had the same type of pads.. and same cross spring.. i got that and fitted it.


job sorted £5 + mucky hands.

i think the gto's have the same pads/fitting also.

yes you may be able to find a pair from a tat yard, but as far as i am aware they are only there to stop them from rattling

aye.. ive found them off a nissan skyline gt. already fitted them... did it in the scrap yard car park
