Silencer advice - Vortex too loud!
Hi guys,
I have recently changed from a sport to turbo and am now looking at silencers as I have the standard system at the mo.
I had an Afterburner Vortex fitted to my sport, it sounded nice but when traveling on motorways it really became monotonous and irritating.
I have however noticed that the turbo is a lot quiter inside the cabin than the sport, seems to be better insulated from general driving noise, so maybe a 4" tailpipe wouldn't be so bad.
How do the 3" pipes sound compared to 4" for urban driving and motorway driving? Loud/quite?
Any feedback/ideas & opinions are most welcome, I don't want to be stuck with throbbing eardrums again!
Thanks

As mentioned a N/A will be louder as the turbo uses the exhaust gas energy to make more power to do this it will absorb sound aswell. So you will probably like the vortex on the turbo . Plus big loud exhausts on the sport you had probably didnt do much while on the turbo it will
