I have just received an e-mail from a friend in Swizerland called Phill, shouting John Bank's praises.

I put him in contact with John as he is looking at ecu tuning mods on his VW Beetle turbo.

Phill is quite a dark horse, John and probably didn't mention the fact that he is currently building a 1933 ****** Street legal drag racing car with an 8 litre Chrysler, nitros oxide injection and super charged engine. He has designed the roll cage himself and made up and fitted his own exhaust system and wiring loom. When completed, it should have an output of approx 1500 bhp and do 1/4 mile in around 8secs.

He spends his weekends as a mechanic for a fomula 3 racing team and is looking at transplanting a scooby engine into a VW camper van.

I'd say that he's a pretty good contact to have.

Many thanks again John

Regards

Chris

John,

I see what you mean, but it's a free country and everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

One has to be careful how far you take things and what you say as a fine example is that of the Lancer Register's members if you get my drift.
