Default Dump valve on PPP wrx

Hi is it ok to have a dump vlave on the car with the PPP. It is a 2003 wrx awd. Just checking before i go out and buy one and is there any difference between baileys and forge??

your car will already have the standard recirc dump valve fitted which according to most people is the best to have.

if you are after a bit of dv noise then you could remove the air box resonator from in the o/s wing.

who said recirc is good? what does it do any better apart from take away the chavness???

my understanding is that a to atmosphere dump valve on a car with a MAF can upset the fueling, as in some instances can let un metered air into the manifold. I know it can upset the idle.

cheers guys its really the noise that i am after but do not want to effect the running of the car.

the fuelling is adjusted according to the air the maf measures i.e metered air,so dumping metered air to atmos can affect the fuelling.

obviously the choice is yours if you want a dv but i searched on here when i first had my scooby and general opinion is you are better off sticking with recirc,but if the noise is what you are after then get shot of the resonator in wing.

I run a WRX Hybrid from Scoobyclinic - you get best of both worlds - recirculates and makes all of the right noises (if you like that sort of thing which I do)
