Default Urgent!! How Do I Undo The HKS Mounting plate??

Guys,

Got my car booked in today to have the HKS Dump valve mounting plate welded to my intercooler hard pipes, just to tidy the engine bay up and prevent leaks.

I thought the mounting plate simply screwed onto the dump valve, but I've just taken the dump valve and mounting plate off and they don't want to separate.

Are they just stiff, or have I got it wrong.

I need to remove the bottom bit (the mounting plate) as shown in the picture.

I can see there is a spring clip inside the mounting plate, between it and the dump valve. I'm guessing this needs to come out. I'm hoping that the dump valve will then simply come off the mounting plate.

Touch wood.

Problem solved. Remove the spring clip and it did twist off. Plus alittle elbow grease as the alloy had fused together.
