Talking remap my 94 import impreza wrx???

Hi

Ive got a 94 import impreza wrx basically standard engine with a turbo smart supersonic dumpvalve and a fully decatted exhuast and was thinking of getting a remap done. Do u think i should and roughly how much would it cost? I live in the Manchester area.
Thanks

Remapping will consist of either getting a daughterboard soldered into the spare slot of your ecu,a complete replacement ecu (Simtek,Apexi Power FC etc) or according to a guy called Tidgy on here they may be able to flash the ecu.

Have a look here for some prices www.JollyGreenMonster.com - Engine management specialist

yep, i believe the standard ecu is now mapable.

while technicly you shouldn't need it, it will make a big difference to how the car performs.

also have an uprated pannel filter fitted to help the inlet

tbh how far (fast) do you want to take the car?

imo not much point getting a remap just for those few bits.

Default Re Map WRX

I've just had my 94 WRX import re mapped ( chip socket soldered in and chip supplied ) by scott at Polar Performance, i have a full decat exhaust and induction Kit and all i can say is brilliant , smoother, much quicker ( now boost's 16 odd PSI. Cost was £195 for the chip and £80 for sh ECU with socket already fitted. I can't recommend Polar performance enough . Do ensure your engine is in good health first though.
