central locking
coincidentally, I just fixed the central locking on my 95 WRX !
..in my case, the lock mechanism has an electrical section on it, with a 4 pole connector and 2 flying leads....the flying leads are connected to the central locking control circuit. an internal switch in the mech shorts these two wires together which locks (or unlocks) the other doors via the control box mounted under the n/s dash
in my case, one of these wires had snapped inside the mech
I guess you may have the same problem or the c/l controller may be knackered (see other threads for water ingress into this control box)
