How much gain would I get?
Hi everyone,
I`ve a 2006 2.5l WRX hawkeye 230bhp and I intend to make some small modifications such as:
K&n inbox filter (already done)
Ressonator Remover
Perrin Intercooler Hoses
Invidia V3 Decatted Downpipe
3" Exaust all the way down with one Inox Muffler
ECU Remap
What gains should I expect from these modifications?
Is it true that the WRX 2006 and 2007 doesn't have the cat on the uppipe? So there is no need to change it?
What should I add if I choose to change de turbo for the STi turbo, to get something like 320bhp?
How much hp the stock differentials and gearbox can handle?
Sorry for this bunch of questions, and thank you for the attention.
Regards,
Storm

I reckon you'd get somewhere in the region of ;
280 - 300 bhp with > 330 ft lbs torque.
RE :- "Is it true that the WRX 2006 and 2007 doesn't have the cat on the uppipe? So there is no need to change it?"
I think this is a yes so you can allow the EGT's to rise and therefore run 1.3 bar.
Run a VF35 and your looking @ 320 or so indeed but then you really want to be running an STi top mount and pink injectors
All the best

Mate of mine did some mods to his hawkeye with good reults
changed the td04 to a fe converted td05
sti top mount
decatted 3 inch exhaust
walbro pump
ecutek remap
340 bhp on powerstation rolling road
injectors are 505cc standard by the way so are fine for upgades to larger turbos without really needing to change them
