Default 27c1028 scooby ecu chip

Some help please . Been looking around at getting chip/remap. As in title found this chip ( 27c1028 ) on E-bay, is this similar to Prodrive chip? Would I need a remap or is it just plug and play? Was also considering a Z4 ecu. Would Z4 ecu and chip work together better than chip and standard 1994 WRX ecu?
Thanks for help in advance .

Cheers Paul.

The chip you mention is the original Scoobyecu.

Check your car doesn't already have a z4 (as there were introduced in late 94).

If you want a chip check PolarPerformance as they do a standalone chip or a fully remappable daughter board ( Enduring Solutions Limited) as they can offer you support.
Both the items will fit onto your standard ecu by cutting the J1 resistor the chip will replace the map of your ecu (you can reconnect the j1 resistor if you want the ecu back to standard).

I have the polar chip fitted to my 95RA,it's a great bit of kit! I've tried other 'flebay' items, but they don't have the after sales backup that simon gives.
The ESL chip's a bit out of my price range at the mo!
