sensor on down pipe

Default sensor on down pipe

hi all, can some1 please tell me wot the sensor is on the down pipe on a classic wrx? changing exhaust and tried to remove the sensor and the bolt holdin it in snapped so its now stuck in the old exhaust. is it easy enough just to get a new 1 or to try and get this 1 out???? hopefully 2 morro i'll have my nice new ss exhaust on but will car still run without this sensor???

if you are lucky your car has the lambda sensor in the headers and that was the cat not working sensor which you can leave off on your car..

look at the headers level with the airfilter to see if there is a sensor in it.

its either the lambda sensor or the cat fire sensor. also see above post to check

also lambda is about 5inches from turbo and cat on fire at bottom of downpipe

the sensor is near bottom of down pipe. wen i put new exhaust on i'll block the hole and just c if car runs ok.

you dont need the bottom one, well i havent use it for several months now with no probs

as said just block the hole in down pipe

well the sensor is off and car runnin great, no problems. hope it stays that way
