Default Apexi intake fitment

Im looking at getting one of these, i do have the proper 92/96 model coming but it's delayed.

Now seeing as i have an autobahn fmic i was thinking of using the maf adaptor along with just another apexi intake put on.

Thing is ive seen an additional pipe on the kit version, is this for if you need to replace the maf or is there another reason?

It's a metal pipe with two smaller ones coming off it, i have something similar on the fmic but with only one pipe instead.

Can anyone shed some light perhaps im at a loss myself.

Aah i see now i know what's going on thank you.

So it just extends the whole assembly so it doesn't fowl with anything, least that's what i can gather.

I think a bit of headscratching is involved, but thanks i may have to bodge something together or at least see what is available from the scrappy.

Edit:Ok ive sussed it all out, thanks.
