hi i have just changed my turbo. having a bit of bother the boost is set at 16 psi when it gets there in 1st 2nd 3rd gear the boost drops of to 0 i think the waste gate is staying open but in 4th and 5th gear it over boosts? that is with the amal valve controling boost. i then took a pipe stright off turbo to actuator it boosted to about 11 psi but at 6000 rpm in every gear the waste gate opened and stayed open?
does anyone have any idea to what the problem might be?

i've got the same pete. its ****e. put td04 on whilst try an get new ceramic bearings for vf34. apart from the remap i'd probably definately say should be done, I reckon I've goosed an fmic pipe, plugged the wrong vac pipe, should go back on ebay pissed at 2 in the morning again and spend another 10 grand on another scooby and grow tomatoes or something in the old one.

chears yeh im gutted saving up now for a apexi and remap at zen.then im going to need g/box its going to be never ending of spending and our lass will probably black bag me cos i like the car more than her. ha
