I have a 1994 wrx and the battery is goosed. I have a battery off one of my old vauxhalls, it is a little bit bigger in size, but it is still is 12v and the terminals will fit. Am I ok to use it or is there some other difference I dont know about?

Its probably not as tall as the battery you have fitted. So you may have trouble clamping it down. Can be done with the use of loads of washers, But will not look to good. Hw old is this vaux batttery and where has it been stored? If its on a floor of a garage then its probably also goosed as they shouldnt be stored on concrete. When was it last charged.

For the sake of 50 or so quid i wouldnt bother. But in answer to your question it could be made to fit yes,
