Default any tips for wraping headers

i have got a set of gt-spec headers that im going to wrap soon. i have got 2"x 50 foot of xtreme wrap.

best end to start, do each tube on its own ? etc etc

i also have got stainless steel locking wire and locking wire pliers.

any tips/info welcome

i found sticking the wrap in a bucket of water for 20 minutes first help allot

This is how I do it. I always start from the heads flange.

Do the 2 short legs 1st, wrap both of them individually until half way round the 180 degree bend, you may have to wrap around both pipes for the last bit.

Then start on highest one of the long legs. By highest I mean when the headers are fitted to the car, do the one that sits on top. Wrap this as far as you can individually - to a point where the 2 pipes are so close together that you can't get 2 thicknesses of wrap between them. This should be somewhere between the expansion joint and the 180 degree bend.

Then finally do the last one, when you get to where the previous one stopped, wrap the 2 pipes at a time untill you meet the 1st two, then wrap all 4 pipes.

This way you should be able to do all of it and the uppipe with 1 roll.

thanks, got the headers wraped, but not enough for the up pipe

so got to order some more
