Lightbulb V7 ecu question

i have an MY01 UK Forester S-Turbo, was looking for more power so was advised to buy a JDM V7 ecu

fits perfect, engine turns over but the damn thing wont spark at all.

had it into a local specialist who has been very helpful but have hit a brick wall.

anyone got any ideas? (i know people will suggest "get a remap" - if i could afford that i wouldnt really be pissing about )

the wiring is different so you cannot do what you are trying to do..

the crank and cam sensor wires are swapped..

BUT.. I believe the engines are different.. and turbos.. ??

i have an EJ205 engine (i believe the same?) and have swapped the homo TF035 for an ALMOST manly TD04

if the wires are swapped can they not be re-swapped? i believe this was tried but still no joy - could it be my UK imobilser that caused this?
