Question

My UK turbo beast has done quite a fe miles now but my servicing has got a bit mixed up. I bought it at 88k, up to when it was serviced by Subaru at the correct intervals. I have had 2 7.5k's and a 15k service done on it since I bought it - but would like it to be back in mileage order, with the corrct service interval.

Help please! Don't want to ask the dealer as I don't trust em!

Hi MB,

How old is your car?....
The service intervals should be every 7.5k miles or 6 months whichever comes first.

Unless the time period had been longer than the 6 month intervals,
if the car was fully serviced when you got it at 88k that would have meant that it had it's last scheduled service (7.5k) at 82.5k and the next one is at 90k which incidently is a major 30k type service and also the cam belt should be changed every 45k so this should be done as well...OUCH!!

So by rights you should have done: 30k+cam belt at 90k, 7.5k at 97.5k, 15k service at 105k and a 7.5k will be due at 112.5k

Hope this makes some sense and is of help to you.

Thanks very much Mr. Melon! Its a MY96UK

Very helpful, I have missed the 30k, so I will have that done to keep it all above board. It had the cam belt done at around 80k, I contacted the Subaru dealer to check. Apparently due to a minor oil leak onto the belt. Must find some cash now!

Thanks again!
