hi mate

in my experiance its way better to use stainless steel jubilee clips(or samco themselves have jubilee clips that they use not sure where you would get them from?)try and find the heavy duty ones so you can get them tight especially if you have high boost!
hope that helps

regards

nick.

I'd use jubilee clips on the coolant pipes too.
You'll probably notice the original spring clips don't hold so tight once they've been removed and refitted.

Use the original spring bad clips, vastly superior as they accomodate the creep in the hose and maintain the pressure, as the hose creeps under a worm drive (aka jubilee) clip it relaxes and looses its clamping pressure, not good practice, which is why most manufacturers have slowly gone to spring band clips!

Never seen a jubilee clip work lose. Have seen plenty of leaks due to cheap spring clips using their tension though. Shouldn't be any creep in the coolant hose if it's the correct length and fitted properly.
Clips fitted on the Scooby aren't generally the ones you mention simon. They're just formed sprung steel.
