Default Panel filters

I dont want to add an induction kit but would like to improve the airflow so a change of panel filter is on the cards........

Anyone got any first hand experience of which ones are the best to go for?
Its for an 06 WRX, if that makes any difference..

Thanks

Andy

This was on a classic, but I was fairly happy with my STi panel filter, much happier with my Green from TSL. It was some kind of special 'Group N' high flowing weave or something. Anyway, it sounded better with that in there, weirdly, and I'm sure it helped.

Did you notice a difference with it fitted?
I have a new backbox and center pipe and would have thought that to balance this more airflow at the front would be needed but cant work out how a new panel filter would make that much difference to the setup. The Simota panel seems to be highly regarded, does it really have 40% more airflow and add around 5-10 BHP?

Before I purchased my KN panel filter it was explained to me like this' Think of cycling up a hill with a face mask on, then take off the face mask and do it again' You may not be any quicker but you will certainly be breathing better!!! Sounds odd, but I got the message.
