Default Some advice needed

My car is being remapped by simon roe soon and i was thinking of fitting something like a hybrid fmic or autobahn88 with lph fuel pump.

Thing is will the car be safe to drive gently all the way up there on the standard ecu.

What are the wrx injectors good up to anyway? won't i need a fuel rail kit if i buy another set of injectors?

With the simtek will it just be the ecu or will i get some sort of controller to switch on/off things like anti lag or launch control?

Cheers.

you can drive anywhere off boost without issues before a remap and not cause problems

Injectors fitted will dictate what power output they can sustain,380's,440's?? need to clarify

Simtek you can use a latching toggle ON-OFF-ON for the two anti lag settings, launch control is selected by:

Again what injectors as they changed depending on year of car..........

They are not all the same, your profile states a early wrx so 380's and upto 300 at a push,440's will go to max 350 depending on mods

Should be good fun once mapped.

You would benefit from 440cc injectors, a latter top mount or Hybrid FMIC and a post 97 map sensor, you won’t have any problem driving the car to be mapped with these mods

the dual maps are selected by:

placing foot to floor on accelerator and turning ignition on (obviously not starting engine)
hold foot for 5seconds, engine light flashing to acknowledge you are doing so and then the rev counter will display the current map - 1 = 1000rpm, 2 = 2000rpm.. you then come off the throttle and back on and hold for a further 5seconds to switch maps, again displayed on rev counter.
Or a switch can be installed.

antilag is via a normal switch.. buy a switch of your choice, or I have one I can use when I install it.

launch is as Steves quote

fmic and fuel pump will be fine to drive it here with, injectors if you change to 440s will also be fine, if larger it might be worth me fitting them for you.

I can supply and fit 550cc injectors if wanted when I install ecu.

if we need to go above the standard map sensor limit with the boost I will fit a 3bar map sensor for free so no need to get new map sensor.

If you want anymore help or advice feel free to ring or email or ask on here as all sound advice in here

A map sensor would be nice to have, never been keen on the afm anyway.

Ive sent a pm your way, id love a set of 550's so long as i don't run the risk of bore wash or killing any other components, id assume 330 is the safe limit for the wrx gearbox the clutch is fine for 400 anyway.

Thanks for the advice both simon and everyone else, should make a heck of a difference on the drive back.

the simtek uses the standard MAP sensor or a replacement.. not the afm

Yeah, that's partly for my choosing the simtek over the apexi, never liked the idea of a failing maf sensor.
