Default Front Mount 2002 Bugeye

Been looking at front mounts and have found one but the core size is a bit of a concern

600mm by 300mm by 75mm

the width and thickness seem ok but the depth at 300mm seems too deep

Has anybody fitted one with similar sizes and does it fit within the front bumper ok , i dont want it to hang out the bottom

cheers

Tony

IMO it wont fit without sticking out at the bottom. Certainly not if you don't have e.g. an STI lip.

Perhaps go for a Hybrid intercooler as they have a core of less height, or possibly an autobahn one which is slightly smaller lower than 300mm.

I've only ever fitted one FMIC to a bug eye, but it's certainly a tight fit, IMO, even with the hybrid

mine measures exactly 306mm deep, from ebay and was supposed to be 300mm deep, but it fits no problem, you would be surprised the room you have. You do however need to cut the big bar that runs along the front of the car.

mine doesnt have a sti splitter either, and it doesnt say HKS either now, its all black.

The Hybrid that we stock for that model has a core size of: 580mmx210mmx100mm

Hope it helps.
