Default help starting problems

iv just bought a sti version 4 when the car is cold it starts ok first time but when the engine is warm it wont stats untill the engine is cold which takes about 2 hours the engine turns over ok but wont fire up any ideas the engine is standard exept for a hks airfilter any ideas thanks

crank sensor most likely the problem.. classic symphtoms you are describing..

occasionally cam sensor but usually crank

I agree, next time you have this problem try unplugging the crank sensor and plugging it back in. You will find it just under the power steering pump.

Or check to see if you have a fault code reporting it....crank sensor error code 11 if I remember right.
