DOES ANYONE KNOW WHATS CAUSING THIS??
hi guys, not so long ago my cel light came on took it to a main dealers and there was a loose wire on a coilpack, its been fine since except when changing gears at around 3800rpm the revs seem to hold for a split second or even go up 2/300 rpm?? ive been told it could be as simple as spark plugs or a throttle sensor or a neutral position sensor, also been told it could be the ecu asking for more fuel due to the cold weather but its not that cold now?? i want to get it sorted now as its bugging me can anyone point me in the right direction or has anyone had the same problem??? ive been to subaru but they said they didnt know but i dont want to start paying them and changing sensors etc...any help would be much appreciated..thx

Hi
Im no scooby expert, though some engine / fuel inj exp.
First off I take it the throttle cable in smooth and free and secondly you have reset the ecu. that done its highly unlikely to be ecu and wont be plugs, the throttle position sensor is were i would start, I have seen them do some strange things .

cheers the dump valve is just the standard jobbie, im not sure which way to go as im told the throttle sensor is most likely cause but at the time it started doin it i was having trouble with the cel light kept coming on due to a loose earth on a coilpack, subaru sorted it but suspected a coilpack wasnt too good but the cel hasnt come on since, i supose i could get a throttle sensor and one coilpack and swap it round to see if it fixes the problem????? cheers guys
