gearbox swap

Im having my P1 box rebuilt shortly and will need to put something else in the car would a 1998 uk box fit straight in? it's a 1994 car with a P1 box and diff etc

I think the P1 uses a 4.44 rear diff same as the sti v5, were as the uk boxes have a 3.54 rear diff.
Gearbox will bolt on but the diffs are not matched.
