Default ecu 16pin connector?

my mates got a computer that will connect to a cars 16 pin connector and then read back all info stored - and can then also reset ecu etc. its meant for 2000 reg + cars but worked on our mates 96 honda. Will it work on my 94 wrx import? does it have the connector to fit??
cheers

No.
The pre 96 and some 97/98 only have whats known as a select monitor port. This is a 4-pin connector TX/RX +12V & Gnd
