add fuel pump, 3 port boost solenoid, ported and wrapped headers and remap and you'll be around that figure; vf28 good, Vf35 bettter and can be had for not much more. Then remap!

Ideally you'd also benefit from better cooling too e.g STi8 top mount or FMIC

Speak to David at APi aout an ns04 upgrade

the vf28 makes for a nice package on the my00 as injectors flow enough fuel to see 1.3~1.4bar and makes around the figures you are after.
vf34 or vf35 are indeed better but more expensive obviously

Just had an andy f hybrid td04 fitted and I can not reccomend it highly enough. Spool up is quick and I made 300bhp and 315ibft torque. Compared the road dyno to that of the same car with 20g and bhp/torque was way ahead until 5500/6000rpm. Depends on what you are looking to acheive. I wanted low down accelaration rather than ***** out top end. Turbo is only £400 exchange +vat

Agree with Mark here. My TD04H made 314bhp & 328lb/ft with faster spool than a VF turbo.
But, if the VF28 is a good price then it may well be the better option for you. As NS04 says you will need the right supporting mods as well to make your desired figure.

agree the TD04 hybrid works well..

depends on your liking.. some prefer a quick spooling turbo and others prefer a tiny bit of lag and a bigger kick in the back.. both very good routes etc..

Indeed. In fact I don't think I've seen anyone unhappy on here with either the TD04h OR the VF35 (in comparison with, say, some with a TD05 20g on a 2.0 litre).

On the subject of a TD04H, what type of supporting mods are advised for a MY00?

I have a VF28 and STi8 intercooler on MY99 with AndyF remap and I'm seeing 320/320.
With standard suspension and worn(ish) tyres, I can spin all 4 wheels off a roundabout in 2nd and 3rd and did it all on a grand budget

it is an uncomprimised setup really (td04 hybrid, or vfxx).. going for a larger turbo you either like it or hate it depending on your driving style and use of the car..
