hi guys

owned my first scooby for around 7 months, which happens to be an sti version 5. looking to get an fmic fitted in February, however got a couple of questions if anyone could help!

1) currently have a re-circ dv fitted to the tmic. where does that go as soon as the tmic comes off?

2) do people with fmic's take out the plastic number plate recess and other bits in the front bumper for a flush fitting?

FMIC kits will come with a sort of 'adaptor plate' to which the DV will be fitted. Please do not be tempted to get a chavvy VTA DV. The OE re-circ ones work just fine and are designed to work with the setup of the engine.

As for removal of the items you stated, I cannot comment as I own a newage Impreza, but I'm sure someone will be along shortly to answer your question. You could always take a look in the 'projects' section as there are plenty of DIY threads where people have fitted FMIC's. Make sure you buy a good quality setup, don't be tempted by the cheap offerings out there.
