Got a whiring sort of noise going on, I've recently fitted an STi 8 scoop on my classis and thought it was just that ( abit like blowing accoss the top of a beer bottle sound).

Today on my way to work it suddenly got louder n louder then I lost power altogether

Pulled over for a second, everything sounded ok so i drove off and it was fine again.

Recently rebuilt engine, lots of smoke on start up since. Usual boost is fine with no hesitation.
