Default Rocker cover gasket problems got me beat

got a problem, had a imported recon engine put into my impreza engine code ej20, been all over and to subaru had loads of different rocker cover gaskets what did not fit, subaru said they were not actually impreza cylinder heads but legacy imported ones which they could order from japan but cannot guarantee they would be right and i would loose my money, the rocker covers usually come in seperate bits with like one part of the gasket round what goes inwards from the edge of rocker cover gaskets and the other what goes around the outside of rocker cover, the ones i want are the gaskets whole with the round bits attatched to the outside edges of the rocker cover, tried explaining as best as i can, is there anyone out there what sells these gaskets or is there any sort of cylinder head codes what i can actually pin point which gaskets i need and where i could actually get them from. cheers phil

2 bolts, inported japan ej20 engine with supposed to be imported lagacy cylinder heads, and unusual rocker gaskets, said work needed to be done to fit coil pack and intercooler to make run.

the very early impreza I have seen with the 2bolt coilpacks which were on the early legacy.. cross over of parts etc,, therefore you should find an early 90s uk leg ej20 turbo should use said gaskets on the rockers..

you tried resealing old gaskets with small amount of three bond I presume?

so the early lagacy should be same gaskets, what like 1993, the old gaskets are not damaged but are rock solid, what is 3 bond?? do u need to take rockers off to do this with 3 bond??

yes when fitting you need to use 3bond which is a flexible rubber solution in a tube which seals the gaskets on

yes I believe the 93 keg should do it
