Started the car this morning and drove 5 mins up the road to the garrage, Came back and at tick over theres a knocking noise.... .. Every part of me says bottom end but on my last scoob the bottom end went and it knocked right through the rev range.,. this knocks up to 1k rpm then stops. Anyone any ideas... Cheers

 

cambelt tensioner or idler is a possibility

 

Well it has me puzzled because its running fine ticks over perfectly its not lumpy.. just hope its not the dam bottom end....
