hi all this is my first post having just joined the site. i had a service at my local subaru garage and they said they cant change the timing belt as the pulleys are not standard. i am getting it changed by a good local mechanic who will change the pulleys also. any idea why they wouldnt change the belt?

possibly the different pulleys dont have timing marks on them ?

 

Or is it because it's an import they won't rather then can't?
