My 05 wrx has never used much at all, even now it's far from standard. The most I've ever put in is ~250mls over 5-6k (oil changed every 5-6k)..!

Not sure if you're aware of this, they are notoriously hard to get an accurate dip stick reading from, leading to frequent overfilling, which they definitely don't like BTW..! Try and keep a COLD reading of half way between HOLES (note top notch is a max HOT oil level..!

For accuracy/consistency, check first thing in the morning, ideally by pulling and wiping the stick, leaving it out (or ~6" out) for 5-10 mins (as oil 'wicks' up tube) and re-check..

Cheers, it seems to be using abit more than that not much but i checked and topped it up today so will make a note of quantity vs mileage, i was just a bit worried because some scoob owners tell me they dont use any??

Some do some don't.
As long as it's not excessive then I wouldn't worry about it..
