FAO Jolly Green Monster
I have been having trouble with my CEL coming on, now when i go into netural and slowing down it goes off, no other symptoms.
Now every time i checked my fault codes i was getting about 5 diffrent 1's 1 of which was my MAF even tho i hav had it changed
I have cleared the codes off my ecu several times, but still get various codes.
You told me 2 reset my my ecu, from the guide on your site, which i finally got round to doing today, cleared all codes, but was left with 51 (NPS)
Now im sure this is what you said it might possibly be.
I did try and dig out the old thread so you could see what has been said, but couldnt find it.
Could you shead me some more light on this matter please.
BTW the car is a MY99 STI 5 Type-R
Only mods are 3" exhaust & decat and green cotton pannel filter, not remaped, but runnin on 99 v power

lol @ dynamix...
yes the neutral position switch wears.. on the newer cars there is a fix which makes them last long but don't believe that is an option on the classic..
Trip to dealer to buy or workshop to get it swapped.
