Default Help with rear strut brace?

Hi all,

Has anyone fitted (pics would be a bonus) a rear strut brace to a MY03 sti....

Looks simple enough to install.... pop the ends over the struts and tighten accordingly, but just wanted to know how do i get to the strut mounts and is there any bits of fettling of the boot liners needed.

help is appreciated as usual.
cheers

Wink

The boot liner should already have a x hole cut into it, did on my 05 WRX.

As said the rear seat needs removing, easy: two (12mm iirc) bolts under front edge of seat and three holding bottom of backrest, between seat-belt anchors. Top hooks in place.

Also as said, rear side seat-belt cartridges (retractors) have to be removed to allow access, one 17mm bolt and a hook for each. Test the seat belt recoils properly when refitting, if not realign until they do.

Remove 3x 10mm nuts from top of each strut and brackets should fit, with a bit of jiggling, re-torque strut bolts only after you've bolted centre strut bar to brackets to ensure alignment..
