The K1 rods are NOT carrillo rods, not at all, not ever, not in the slightest. K1 is a "carillo company" and started by someone that used to work for another, rival manufacturer that started on their own. They do not use the same level of QA and material spec as carrillos own rods.
So that puts them with most other rod manufacturers, ie still very good, but not a carillo rod!

Eagle rods seem okay, but the day when one breaks will be when you'll take the view they're definitely not as good but probably worth trying. If you want a bulletprood 400hp, maybe 450hp motor, then they are good value.
The cosworth rods are proper carrillo units.
If you're building a 600hp engine, don't use cheap rods, end of story.
