Default dead my93 wrx - advice

Stupidly put 5w/40 in my car and have killed the engine - big ends and clattered valve train. anyway i'm going to drop a low mileage second hand engine in, and do the same with the gearbox - 3rd/4th syncros on their way out. now i've seen a few places on ebay that sell low mileage ones, but not sure about them, or should i go to api or grade a?

any advice welcome

cheers

jason

hello mate, i would say dont buy an engine of ebay, its best to stay clear of them. if you buy from api or grade A at least you will have a peace of mind that you are buying the engine from someone who knows and deals in subaru engines and parts. in most cases they have prolly been tested and checked properly before being sold anyway. yes it may or prolly will cost you more but for the work and hassle i would rather spend more and get it rite the first time. hope that helps

Regards
