I wouldn't have thought so to be honest, you are mostly wrapping to keep heat out of the engine bay and in the exhaust but as a side effect it speeds up the gasses in the exhaust as a result, which makes for better flow!

Wrapping keeps the hot bits hot...... and the cold bits cold by keeping the heat within the pipework and not in the engine bay, this also has the affect of speeding up the gas flow to some degree, which also helps filling the cylinder with valve overlap dragging the old exhaust gas out and the new fresh charge in..... but velocity reduces enough by the end of the downpipe not to warrent wrapping the whole system.
AFAIK.........lol
AFAIK.........lol
