What mods have you got apart from the ECU mate?

To put it into context MY96 WRX has been fully decatted with a HKS mushroom filter with no remap and standard pump.

I have an FMIC ready to go on after xmas then i'm going to fit a walbro THEN get a reamp to kake the most of what i've got.I've been told that my standard 380 injectors are good for 300BHP which is my aim for now.

So unless your planning upping the power more then i'd say no.

Standard headers fully ported ,stainless up pipe ,H&S downpipe no cat, straight threw centre no silencer ,scorpion back box , scooby ecu ,dawes device at 1.2 bar, fcd ,fast flow panel filter , larger 99 model intercooler , later 4 pots with uprated pads and groved dics , AFR , Knocklink , Been like this for last 5 years was just thinking about replacing the fuel pump also if you change the pump do you have to change the standard reg to an adjustable one , engine was stripped a re-built 3 years ago by myself when blew a head gasket stat stuck shut !!

Just noticed you only live down the road .

Since a new fuel pump is so cheap you may as well change it.
The fpr may be over powered but may not if you can afford it change it.
